My Stance on Piracy

June 01, 2016

Over the last day I've had a few people tell me that Colour Constructor has now a few active torrents, so I thought I would write a quick post on this.

Colour constructor is a productivity and learning tool, and I made it because I saw a gap in colour teaching that should be fixed.

I don't put in any DRM because the way I see it, my biggest issue is not with piracy, but is with visibility to the public. I sell this software for what I believe to be a very fair price, and am actively developing it and sending out free updates. I beleive that it has more value than tutorial videos of the same price, which I consider to be my main competitors, not other program suites or plugins.

As such I will not be adding DRM to colour constructor in the future, as I don't think it's going to help my cause in the long run. All I ask is that if you are such a pirate, that you consider supporting me and what I do. If nothing else it would get on the mailing list so you can get future updates and links to free content that I will be producing.

I however do thank people for informing me that this is going on.
